Proposal # 4 (Marking Period 3)

I decide to not do the abstract paintings to make paintings of a surrealistic form. I will paint realistic objects, but will add surreal objects that are neither real nor abstract. This idea came to me when i just decided to mash the two forms of art i had already been making, abstract and realism, together.

materials: acrylic paints, canvas

I am proposing to do a series of abstractions. they will consist of pallet knife painting and will be on average sized canvases. one canvas will be 26×36. i am doing abstractions because of the way they portray feelings. unclear yet fathomable.

materials: pallet knife, canvas, paint brushes, acrylic paints, other mediums such as paper, nails, and found objects.

objective: to practice my way of painting abstract feelings

timeline: february 3 – february 30

I will compose a book out of found pages and objects sewn together. This book will be about angels and demons, how profound they are in life.

Objective: To propose ideas in a familiar fashion to all of us. We all know and find comfort in books, so I will propose ideas of angels and demons in a projection of comfort.

Materials: Found pages, articles, found objects, ink and paint.

Timeline: November 15-December 23

I propose to do a series of portraits. I will do a series containing three pre-drawings, done in chrcoal, and six portraits of two different Octoberpeople (also including Mr. Miller). I wanted to do portraits because I want to learn to paint the face in a way that is representing the face in a realistic manner, but adding tones and textures to the face that aren’t seen with the naked eye. Emotions that add colors and feelings to auras. I PLAN on doing cubistic forms because that is what I like best.I will use photographs of the face to help me along the way.

Objective: To introduce the face in a cubistic manner, representing the chambers of emotions that are captured in a photograph, and in living life with the naked eye.

Materials: Pre drawings will be drawn out in charcoal. Six main pieces will be painted.

Timeline: Start the charcoal pieces Nov 23, finish by Nov 30. Begin the painting series Nov 27, finish by December 11.
